When I’m Away From SEO – I Get Far Out There

Greetings from inside the SEOigloo!
My friend, Elizabeth, (better known to the forum world as AbleReach) has just tagged me for Shimon Sandler’s meme asking what us SEOs do when were not…well, SEO’ing.
The answer is likely to come as small surprise to my readers. When I’m not sitting at this computer, I’m out….
Yesterday was the first dry, clear day we’ve had here in what seems like an eon. My husband and I cast all SEO concerns to the wind and set out to the nearest marshland. Apart from visiting with literally dozens of gorgeous raptors, we had the thrill of standing in the midst of ghostly owls, taking silent wing in the dusk, flying just out of hand’s touch, intent upon their purposes.
My bet is that we’re the only SEOs in this meme who can claim they hang out with owls when they’re not working…but, hey, maybe I’m wrong and a fellow birder will show up here to compare lifelists with us!
We love our work. We get deeply into the SEO groove and will work for hours, heedless of the world outside this comfort zone of technology, design, funny words. Yet, lest we ever truly forget that man is an animal, we try to balance our computer-driven work lives with abundant time outdoors. SEO is super, but our natural earth is AWESOME!
Come on, SEOs…get out there, breathe the air, see the beautiful planet, say hello to the owls!
